We have had our first meeting, where Immediate Past President Ridzuan Yang passed the baton to me. District Directory 2008-2009

Members can pick up their copy of the District Directory for 2008-2009 from Club Service Chair Chris Chin during our regular meetings. This year’s directory features a modern design with embossing, matt lamination and spot UV on the front cover. Another big difference from previous directories is that this edition lists every single member of every Club. We are all impressed. Make sure you get your personal copy for easy reference.

Report of the regular meeting held on Thursday 3 July 2008.
The first meeting for the Rotary Year 2008-2009 was opened by Immediate Past President Ridzuan Yang, who then placed the President’s jewel on President Peter Pek, who took over the proceedings. Sergeant-At-Arms Dr Kieran McClanahan began the meeting promptly at 1pm and the meeting ended at exactly 2pm.
Interact Leadership Training Seminar 2008

The Rotary Club of Gombak recently organised a successful Interact Leadership Training Seminar (ILTS) for the incoming Interact Presidents and their Officers for the Rotary
Year 2008-2009. Hosted by SMK Seri Ampang on 28 June 2008, the event was well attended with over 60 participants representing the six Gombak Interact schools, Teacher Advisors, Rotaractors and Rotarians. The seminar also marked the last event to be officiated by President Ridzuan Yang as he ended his Presidency term. Read more
Gombak sends record delegation to Rotary Convention in Los Angeles

The Rotary Club of Gombak was well represented at the recent Rotary International Convention in Los Angeles, USA, which saw 17,000 Rotarians from around the world gather for the annual event. Gombak was represented by a club record of six delegates: DGN Leslie Salehuddin and Ann Ziela; President Ridzuan, Past Presidents Sen Gupta and James Emarievbe; and Club Bulletin Editor Douglas Brown. The Gombak delegation was the largest in District 3300, which was represented by 14 Rotarians and spouses in total. Read more
